About the Role

The Manager, Major Accounts role is a contract position focused on driving the acquisition of new direct business as well as strategic partnerships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs). You will work closely with the Head of Sales and the Marketing Director to develop strategic sales goals, pipelines, and activities. You will build and maintain strategic relationships with prospects and existing customers to help achieve our strategic business objectives. You are a confident, self-starter with the ability to motivate others. You know how to effectively solve problems, overcome objections, and win deals.

Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain business relationships with prospective customers and partners to create a consistent pipeline of opportunities.
  • Ensure all deals are handed off to Customer Experience, Accounts & Partnerships, and/or Accounting in an accurate and timely manner. This includes proactive measurement, process improvement, and the remediation of problem deals.
  • Make telephone calls and presentations to prospective customers.
  • Maintain, without fail, sufficient documentation on all current and prospective clients in our CRM (currently Zoho).
  • Conduct quarterly account reviews with executive contacts within your client base & the leadership team.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations/agreements for current and prospective customers and partners.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with several business groups, including Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Accounting.
  • Manage the Major Accounts pipeline via analysis of deals’ potential value to the company.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Sales to enable sales acceleration.
  • Deliver verbal and written reports on customer needs, issues, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services or customer segments to Senior Leadership and Executives.
  • Stay up-to-date on product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
  • Perform other duties, projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in an Sales, Business Development, or similar role.
  • Experience as a Sales Manager is desirable.
  • Experience in the Security industry is an asset.
  • Proven track record in meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with prior success dealing directly with business decision makers and managers.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor.
  • Experience pitching a solution to meet targeted customer needs.
  • Excellent in learning new technology.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to remain positive in the face of a challenge.
